Stan;
I'm so glad I checked out your website. I'm so impressed with this endeavour and for what you are doing for the children's charities in Wales. I hope one day to meet you (Ryder Cup 2010?). All the best, and keep it in the short grass!

Dear Stan and Caddy Fred,
It was a memorable day that we had at the Vale of Llangollen and on reflection I am delighted that you played so well and I allowed your nett 68 to win the challenge for such a worthy cause.
I will be following your progress and look forward to sending a cheque after my Captains Day.
Warning to Welsh Captains: Don't believe Stan if he says his chipping and putting are off.
If anyone finds a Titleist 4 in the River Dee please return it to VLGC!

Dear Stan,
It was a great pleasure to welcome you to St Deiniol on behalf of the Captain Mr. Mike Bryant and Lady Captain Sue Hughes, and to accompany you around our little gem of a course in the panoramic setting of Snowdonia. Well we started well, shirt sleaves were the order of the day but alas the wind got colder and colder even though the sun was trying to pop out from behind the clouds and mist covers mountains so on went the sweaters. A gentleman golfer is an understatement for our Stan, he is more than that, the enthusiasm shown for this challenge is fantastic, 170 golf course ! !, you need more than enthusiasm for that, a man to be admired. Back to St Deiniol, he is a mean 13 handicapper in my opinion, to play St Deiniol and to score 43 out and 43 in, 86 in total less 13 I make it 73 then less 67 makes it 6 over, I think we can blame the 9th hole for this, the gorse monsters got his Welsh Dragon ball and swallowed it, SO IT WAS 3 OFF THE TEE, he was putting for par on the majority of holes and on a course which he had not played before. Well done Stan the Man and we wish you every success with your Challenge, may the Golfing Gods be with you on your travels and please come back to St Deiniol very soon
